Aon names Broadridge exec as next CFO

Aon PLC Tuesday named Edmund Reese, chief financial officer of financial technology company Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc., to succeed Christa Davies as its next CFO.
New York-based Mr. Reese, who joined Broadridge in 2020, previously worked at American Express Co. in various senior finance positions, lastly as CFO of its global consumer services group. Prior to that, he held various financial positions at Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney.
He has been a Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. board member since 2022 and resigned on Friday.
Mr. Reese will join Aon on July 1 and become CFO on July 29 after the company announces its second-quarter results.
Mr. Reese graduated from Clemson University with an accounting degree and from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Business Administration degree.
Ms. Davies, who announced in April that she would step down as CFO after 16 years in the role, will become a senior adviser to the company and retire at the end of 2025.
