Aon names claims leader for US, Bermuda

Aon PLC said Tuesday it has named Mike Merlo as claims leader for U.S. and Bermuda, a new position.

Mr. Merlo, based in Chicago, will work with Aon’s claims leaders across all product lines and be a primary contact for chief claims officers at insurers in the U.S. and Bermuda, Aon’s statement said Tuesday.

He was most recently part of the broker’s U.S. national casualty coverage advocacy and claims resolution practice. He will report to both Neil Harrison, Aon’s global chief claims officer, and Joe Peiser, head of commercial risk, North America.
