Aon recruits former Willis exec for new UK broking role

Aon PLC said Thursday it has hired former Willis Towers Watson PLC executive Angela James as chief broking officer for commercial risk in the United Kingdom, effective in June 2022.

Ms. James, based in London, will report to James Baum, head of commercial risk, U.K., in the newly created role.

Ms. James was most recently global property/casualty hub leader for Willis’ centers in London, Bermuda, Singapore and Shanghai. She began her career as a graduate trainee at Aon in 2006 before joining Willis in 2014.
