Arch Capital announces promotions

Arch Capital Group Ltd. announced Thursday that David Gansberg was promoted to president overseeing North American and international insurance operations and that Maamoun Rajeh was promoted to president with responsibility for the insurer’s mortgage and reinsurance groups.

Mr. Gansberg had been CEO of Arch’s mortgage group since 2019. Before that, he was executive vice president and director at Arch Re (U.S.).

Mr. Rajeh joined Arch Re Bermuda as an underwriter in 2001.  He served as CEO of Arch Reinsurance Europe from 2012 to 2014 and CEO of Arch Re Bermuda from 2014 to 2017. In his new role, he will continue to maintain oversight of the reinsurance group he’s led since 2017, the insurer said.
