Bermuda-headquartered insurer and reinsurer Arch Capital Group Ltd. has opened two new “global capabilities centres” in India at Trivandrum and Pune.
These centres will enhance Arch’s ability to service its insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance business.
According to Arch, it also aims to enable the re/insurer to tap into India’s highly skilled talent pool in areas such as analytics, technology, and operations.
There are plans for a third centre in Hyderabad that will be opening soon. The new offices will serve as workplaces for more than 350 employees.
Prashant Nema, Deputy Chief Operations Officer at Arch, commented, “We’re proud to establish a presence in India, a country with remarkable professional talent and a growing role in the global insurance ecosystem.
“These offices will help us scale key capabilities, strengthen service delivery for business operations around the world and drive innovation across Arch.”
Khaitan & Co. served as Arch’s legal advisor in the establishment of these global capabilities centres.
Arch partnered with ANSR Inc., a United States-headquartered firm that helps companies build and manage high-impact global teams in talent-rich locations around the world, to set up these global capabilities centres and position them for long-term success.
