Arch hires former Amwins leader to head MGU

Arch Insurance North America Thursday named former Amwins Group Inc. underwriting leader Tyler Bair as president of Ventus Risk Management, its commercial property managing general underwriter.

Mr. Bair, who worked at Atlanta-based Ventus between 2016 and 2019, was senior vice president of underwriting at Amwins.

Richard Goldfarb, who has led Ventus for the past five years, will remain with the company as head of strategy, according to an Arch statement.

Ventus offers property coverage to coastal properties, targeting condominiums, retail, office buildings and the hospitality sector.
