Arch names former MSIG exec head of new marine unit

Arch Insurance North America announced Wednesday it hired MSIG executive vice president and head of marine Jeff Kaufman to lead its new U.S. marine business, effective July 7.

In the newly created role, Mr. Kaufman will establish Arch’s U.S. marine product offerings, build an underwriting team and grow its book of business, the unit of Arch Capital Group Ltd. said.

Mr. Kaufman, based in Glen Head, New York, will report to Valerie Turpin, chief underwriting officer, property.
