Ardonagh Specialty appoints executive for Bermuda, retrocession

Ardonagh Specialty, the wholesale broking group of U.K.-based Ardonagh Group Ltd., Thursday said it has appointed Jonathan Marsh as deputy CEO of Bermuda and global head of retrocession at Inver Reinsurance Brokers Ltd., subject to regulatory approval.

In this newly created position, Mr. Marsh will run Ardonagh Specialty’s Bermudian business operations and build out Inver Re’s retrocession capabilities, reporting to CEO Chris Bonard, according to an Ardonagh statement and a spokeswoman’s email.

Mr. Marsh was most recently chairman of Gallagher Re’s Bermuda office following the acquisition of Willis Re, where he had previously spent 26 years in various roles including chairman, CEO and deputy CEO of the global specialty division, the statement said.
