Ariel Re names head of cyber

 Ariel Re said Thursday it has named Daniel Carr head of cyber, a new position, effective Oct. 1.

Mr. Carr, who will be based in London, was most recently chief innovation officer and cyber lead for Occam Underwriting Ltd., the reinsurer said in a statement.

Ariel Re said in June that it had issued its first 144A catastrophe bond, an index-triggered bond issued by Bermuda special purpose insurer Titania Re Ltd.
