Ascot announces promotions

Ascot Group Ltd. Thursday said Ian Thompson has been promoted to CEO and director of Ascot Underwriting Ltd. and Justin Keith to president and CEO of Ascot Bermuda Ltd.

Mr. Thompson, who joined Ascot Bermuda in 2017, succeeds Jonathan Zaffino as CEO and director of AUL and will relocate to London from Bermuda. He also will continue as a member of the Global Executive Committee, Ascot said in a statement.

Mr. Keith, who joined Ascot in 2017, will become president and CEO of Bermudan operations, succeeding Mr. Thompson. Both will report to Mr. Zaffino, the statement said.

Mr. Keith was most recently chief underwriting officer for casualty and specialty.

Mark Pepper will continue to report to Mr. Zaffino in his role as Ascot Group CUO and member of the Group Executive Committee, the statement added.
