Ascot appoints RenRe’s Marc Amen as CEO, North America

Bermuda-domiciled global specialty re/insurer Ascot Group has appointed Marc Amen as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) North America, effective later this year, after he completes his current obligations.

In the new role, Amen will be responsible for all operating facets of Ascot U.S. and Ascot Bermuda insurance and reinsurance companies.

Additionally, he will join the Ascot Group Executive Committee as a member, reporting directly to Group CEO and President Jonathan Zaffino.

Amen has 24 years of underwriting and leadership experience. He joins Ascot from RenaissanceRe, where he managed the underwriting and key operational aspects of the company’s U.S. platform.

He has previously served in various positions at Alterra Re, Harbor Point Re, and Chubb Re.
