Ascot names former CNA exec as global head of distribution

Ascot Group Ltd. Tuesday named former CNA Financial Corp. executive Steven Goldman to the newly created role of global head of distribution.

Mr. Goldman will develop and lead Ascot’s global distribution strategy, the company said in a statement. He joins Ascot on July 7.

Mr. Goldman will be based in Stamford, Connecticut, and report to Jonathan Zaffino, Group CEO and president.

He joins Ascot from CNA Financial, where he most recently served as president, global management and professional liability, responsible for managing the company’s affinity, financial lines and health care business units.
