Ascot names Renaissance Re’s Amen as North American CEO

Ascot Group Ltd. late Tuesday named Renaissance Re executive Marc Amen CEO of Ascot North America.

Mr. Amen is a New York-based senior vice president at Renaissance Re. He will join Ascot later this year “upon completion of his current obligations,” an Ascot statement said.

Prior to joining Renaissance Re in 2013, he was a vice president at Alterra Re.

He will be responsible for Ascot’s U.S. and Bermuda operations and report to Jonathan Zaffino, group CEO and president of Ascot, the statement said.

Mr. Zaffino previously headed North America for Ascot in addition to his group responsibilities.
