Ascot Group Ltd. said Tuesday it has launched a marine and energy treaty reinsurance business in Bermuda, and named Alex Kirkby, formerly at Validus Re, to head up the portfolio.
Mr. Kirkby was appointed senior vice president, head of marine & energy, Bermuda. He most recently was vice president at Validus Re.
Emma Foxley, formerly at Lancashire Insurance Group, was named vice president, marine and energy, Bermuda. Ms. Foxley previously was an underwriter in the specialty reinsurance segment at Lancashire.
