Aspen announces new leadership role for international and UK casualty insurance

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Ryan Cushway as Head of International and UK Casualty Insurance, a newly established position effective August 1, 2025.

Cushway, who joined Aspen in 2017, has held several senior underwriting roles. Since January 2023, he has led the UK Casualty portfolio, consistently producing strong outcomes for Aspen, its clients, and broker partners.

This new position brings together leadership across Aspen’s UK operations and simplifies the Company’s casualty insurance strategy, strengthening the foundation for ongoing growth and advancement.

As part of this reorganisation, Leanne Bellows will take on the role of Head of Excess Casualty – London & Lloyd’s Markets, reporting directly to Cushway.

Additionally, Richard Spinks and the International Environmental team will also report to Cushway under the updated leadership structure, alongside the UK Casualty team.
