The American Society of Safety Professionals and the American National Standards Institute have revised a safety and health standard for multi-employer projects in construction and demolition, the Park Ridge, Illinois-based ASSP announced Wednesday.
ANSI/ASSP A10.33-2020 identifies key elements an organization should use to create and manage a safety program in a shared construction project, and requires engagement across the entire project — from project owners and construction supervisors to contractors and equipment manufacturers — in the identified safety process.
The voluntary ANSI/ASSP national consensus standards are intended to promote safety best practices and prevent worker injuries and illnesses.
