AssuredPartners hires former Artex captives executive

AssuredPartners Inc. said Wednesday it has hired Jeffrey Kurz as senior vice president of alternative risk strategies.

Columbus, Ohio-based Mr. Kurz was previously a managing director at Artex Risk Solutions Inc., the captive management arm of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

He will report to Ty Beba, chief revenue officer of Orlando-based AssuredPartners.

AssuredPartners is the 11th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
