AXA XL appoints Katherine Gerber as Head of Energy Transition in the Americas

AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has announced the appointment of Katherine Gerber as Head of Energy Transition in the Americas.
In this role, Gerber will leverage AXA XL’s expertise and global reach to help clients navigate the challenges of energy transition while achieving sustainability goals and managing risks effectively. She will lead energy underwriting strategies and develop products and services to support clients’ energy transition plans.
Donna Nadeau, Head of Large Commercial at AXA XL, expressed enthusiasm for Gerber’s appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to have Katherine join our team. Her experience in developing innovative strategies and driving operational excellence will be invaluable as we work to support our clients in navigating the complexities of the energy landscape.

Gerber joins AXA XL from Liberty Mutual Insurance, where she spent the last seven years in key roles focused on strategy and underwriting operations. Most recently, she served as Global Strategy and Performance Lead, Energy Transition Risk, Commercial Insurance.
Commenting on her new role, Gerber said, “I look forward to working closely with brokers and clients to meet their insurance needs through this global transition.”
