AXA XL appoints Tim Whisler as Head of Wholesale Solutions in the Americas

AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has appointed Tim Whisler as Head of Wholesale Solutions in the Americas.

In his new role, Whisler will report to Lucy Pilko, CEO of Americas, and oversee the company’s strategy for the Programs and Excess & Surplus (E&S) segments, as well as lead the Wholesale Underwriting unit.

He will focus on driving profitable growth in the Programs and E&S segments by strengthening key market assets, accelerating organic growth, and achieving long-term underwriting goals.

Pilko commented, “The E&S market has experienced substantial growth and is forecasted to exceed $110 Billion in premium by the end of 2024. This growth has significantly outpaced that of the broader market over the past few years.”

Whisler brings two decades of experience at Lexington Insurance Company to AXA XL. He most recently served as Executive Vice President & Head of Western World, Lexington’s contract binding platform and an AIG company.
