Axa XL hires former Zurich North America underwriter

Axa XL, a division of Axa SA, announced Monday it hired former Zurich North America senior property and casualty underwriter Matthew Teehan to serve as senior underwriter for its newly launched multinational middle market property and casualty product.

Prior to working at Zurich North America, Mr. Teehan was an international P&C broker for mid- and large-sized clients at Marsh LLC.

Mr. Teehan will be based in New York and report to Christopher Kelly, underwriting manager for U.S. middle market.
