Axa XL names Burggraf as excess casualty leader

Axa XL, a unit of Axa SA, Thursday named Richard Burggraf head of excess casualty for the U.S. East Zone.

Previously, New York-based Mr. Burggraf was managing director, strategic risk solutions, at the insurer. He joined XL Catlin, a predecessor company, from Ace Ltd. in 2015.

Andrew Dicob, who previously headed excess casualty for the region, joined managing general agent First Specialty Excess Ltd. last year.
