Axa XL names CUO for newly established Canadian market

Axa XL announced Thursday Arti Rawal was appointed as chief underwriting officer for its newly established middle market, Canada team.

Ms. Rawal has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry in the U.S. and Canada and has worked for CNA Insurance and Travelers Canada. Most recently, she worked for Zurich Canada, where she was vice president of the middle market for the Ontario region.

Ms. Rawal will be based in Toronto and report to Matthew Waters, head of middle markets, America, Axa said in the announcement.
