Axa XL names underwriting exec for Americas

Axa XL, the property/casualty unit of France’s Axa SA, said Thursday it has named David Brooks to the newly created role of chief underwriting officer, programs and delegated arrangements for the Americas, effective June 1.

Mr. Brooks will report to Donna Nadeau, Axa XL’s chief underwriting officer for the Americas.

He is currently Axa XL’s chief risk officer for the Americas.

Axa XL is looking to extend its capacity and appetite in the programs business, Mr. Brooks said in a statement.
