Axa XL recruits cyber liability underwriters

Axa XL has hired Deuayne Crawford from rival Ironshore to head its cyber operations for the Northeast in New York.

He replaces Maura Wiese, who joined Lockton Cos. LLC in May.

Mr. Crawford spent six years at Ironshore, a unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., and previously worked for American International Group Inc.

In addition, the Axa SA unit said Thursday that Marisa Vero has joined as a senior underwriter in Los Angeles and Hannah Baker joined as an underwriter in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ms. Vero joins from Zurich North America, and Ms. Baker was most recently at Travelers Cos. Inc.
