AXA XL welcomes Bardot-Girard and Klimczak to its Risk Consulting Leadership Team

AXA XL, the property & casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has announced the appointment of Rébiah Bardot-Girard and Jarek Klimczak to its Risk Consulting Leadership Team.
Bardot-Girard, who has been part of AXA since 2009, has been appointed Chief Risk Consulting Officer, Cyber.
Prior to her new appointment, she was serving as Chief Security Officer, a role she held for almost four years.
Before that, she spent 13 years at GIE AXA, Group AXA International Headquarters, where she initially served as a Logistics Manager before being appointed Head of Business Continuity, Crisis Management, ITSCM and Logistics.
Additionally, Bardot-Girard spent eight years as a Micro Network Technician in the IT Service Industry with Getronics, Teamlog, Communication Systems.
Klimczak, who has 34 years experience in the logistics, transport engineering, insurance, risk management and loss analysis of the maritime industry, has been appointed Chief Risk Consulting Officer, Specialty.
The executive has been with AXA XL since 2018 and part of XL Catlin since 2017. Klimczak joined the company in 2018 as a Senior Risk Consultant – Marine Risk Management-APAC, and has held a number of roles within the company.
Klimczak’s roles before his new appointment include AXA Smart Services – Business Lead/Moving Assets and Senior Risk Account Consultant – Marine Risk Management Americas.
At XL Catlin he was a Risk Engineer, a role he held for almost two years. Prior to that he served as a Senior Marine Risk Consultant at Allianz for four years.
Additionally, Klimczak’s carrier also includes 16 years sea service on board merchant ships.
