Axis, CFC make executive moves

Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. said Tuesday it has promoted recent hire Lori Bailey to head up its global cyber and technology division, replacing Dan Trueman.

Mr. Trueman will join CFC Underwriting Ltd. as chief underwriting officer, a spokeswoman for the London-based specialty insurer confirmed.

CFC’s current CUO Andy Holmes will move into a wider group role and will retain responsibility for group capacity, the spokeswoman said.

Ms. Bailey, who was recently hired by Axis as global head of growth within its global cyber and technology division and is based in New York, reports to Mark Gregory, head of global markets at the Bermuda-based insurer.

Ms. Bailey and Mr. Trueman will work together to ensure a smooth transition in the months ahead, Axis said in a statement.

Prior to joining Axis in June, Ms. Bailey was chief insurance officer at cyber managing general underwriter Corvus. She was named one of the Business Insurance Women to Watch in 2017.
