Axis names head of new life sciences practice

Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. on Monday launched a life sciences practice and named Pranav Shroff, formerly at TDC Specialty Underwriters Inc., a unit of The Doctors Co., as head of life sciences in North America.

Mr. Shroff will develop specialty coverages for the life sciences industry with an initial focus on products liability, professional liability and clinical trials liability.

Based in New York, Mr. Shroff will report to Michael McKenna, head of Axis North America.

Mr. Shroff previously was vice president at TDC and prior to that worked at Chubb Ltd. He was a Business Insurance 2024 Break Out Award winner.
