Axis recruits exec from program manager

Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. on Tuesday said former Macquarie Group executive Gabriel Galanski has joined Axis as head of North America property and casualty programs.

Mr. Galanski is responsible for the management, development and administration of the company’s North America programs business. He reports to John Van Decker, president of global financial lines, a statement said.

Mr. Galanski will also work in close partnership with the Axis wholesale division, led by Carlton Maner, Axis wholesale CEO, the statement said.

Mr. Galanski was most recently vice president with the Macquarie Insurance Facility, the statement said.
