Barclays takes another payments hackathon crown; Holvi and Azimo talk disruption

A dozen development teams gathered at the campus last month and used APIs from Birdback, Braintree, Datacash and Twilio to produce a workable payments application.

The team from Barclays, led again by creative lead Paul Wilshaw – who recently triumphed at Microsoft’s Digital Wallet Foundry hackathon – developed a gamified loyalty solution for merchants, dubbed Credcog and was awarded a 3D Printer at the event. Team-X from Paypal won the award for best hack, using the Braintree API.
