Bayview appoints Craig Schorr as Managing Director of Insurance Asset Management

Bayview Asset Management (Bayview), a global investment management firm, has announced the appointment of Craig T. Schorr as Managing Director in its newly formed Insurance Asset Management division.

This division was established to offer management services to the insurance and reinsurance industries.

Nancy Mueller Handal, Head of Bayview’s Insurance Asset Management division, expressed her excitement about Schorr’s appointment, stating, “He brings an impressive combination of skills relevant to all facets of the business we are building, is aligned with Bayview’s client and service focused culture, and has deep experience as a trusted advisor and business leader.”

Before joining Bayview, Schorr spent over 20 years at AllianceBernstein (AB), holding various leadership, client advisory, and analyst roles, most recently serving as Head of US Insurance Clients and Institutional Advisor.

Schorr highlighted, “As the insurance industry continues to expand, Bayview is uniquely positioned across the residential and consumer credit markets to help serve insurers’ growing needs.”
