Berkley Cyber Risk Solutions launches new incident responder coverage

Berkley Cyber Risk Solutions has introduced its new Incident Responder Enhancement Endorsement, aimed at addressing the frequently overlooked human impact of responding to cyber breach events.

The endorsement offers reimbursement for cancelled vacations, child or elder care, and corporate safety costs incurred by incident response teams on the front lines of these crises. It also includes Crisis Counseling coverage.

These coverages come with a $0 retention and are provided outside the limits of liability.

Rich Sheridan, Chief Claims Officer of Berkley Cyber Risk Solutions, said, “In addition to the high demands that our insureds experience during breach events, our Claims team recognised other points of stress that can negatively impact the remediation process. The financial burdens faced by employees on the front lines of breach events can inhibit their ability to address the crisis without distraction.”
