Berkley forms new specialty business, names exec

W.R. Berkley Corp. said Wednesday it has formed Berkley Specialty Excess to offer excess liability coverages in specialized markets, with an initial focus on the environmental and energy industries.

The Greenwich, Connecticut-based insurer said it has named John Termini as president of the new business, effective immediately.

Mr. Termini, who is Miami-based, was formerly head of environmental and energy at Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd.
