Berkshire specialty unit names head of underwriting in Europe

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Co. said Tuesday it promoted Louise Kidd to head of underwriting in Europe.
Ms. Kidd, who is based in Dublin, previously was country manager, Ireland, and global financial lines underwriting officer. She joined BHSI in 2020 as head of third-party lines in Ireland.
Ms. Kidd was named one of the 2024 Business Insurance Women to Watch.
