BHSI reveals leadership promotions and regional expansion

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a provider of commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance products, has announced several leadership promotions as part of the expansion of its US retail general property organisation.

The company is reorganising into four distinct regions: Northeast, Southeast, Central, and West.

Scott Johnson has been appointed as Head of U.S. Retail General Property, overseeing all four regions.

In addition to this responsibility, he will continue leading the underwriting of BHSI’s BH FastCAT parametric insurance. Scott, who joined BHSI in 2013, was previously Senior Vice President and Eastern Region Leader. He is based in New York.

Alison McVeigh has been named Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the Northeast Region. Jen Rubin will serve as Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the Central Region, succeeding Brian Cummins, who will transition to the role of Customer & Broker Engagement leader for the US.

Northern Central region. Cristin Grogan has been appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the Southeast Region. Lastly, Manny Dewani will take on the role of Senior Vice President, Head of Retail General Property for the West Region.
