Bishop Street buys Ethos Specialty’ transactional liability unit

Bishop Street Underwriters said Monday it acquired Ethos Specialty’ transactional liability unit.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ethos Transactional is focused on managing risks related to transactions, offering coverage including representations and warranties and tax insurance, Bishop said in a statement.

“The majority of Ethos’ existing capacity providers will also continue working with the company,” the statement said.

Ethos Transactional’s full team of approximately 23 people will join Bishop, according to a Bishop spokesperson.

Bishop Street Underwriters was launched in 2023.

This is the broker’s second recent acquisition.
