Bolttech hires Marsh exec as chief MGA officer

Bolttech Management Ltd., a New York-based insurtech company, said Tuesday it has named former Marsh executive Rob Bauer to the newly created position of group chief managing general agent officer.

Based in the U.S., Mr. Bauer will lead bolttech’s MGA strategy and capabilities, including commercial structure, partnerships and distribution.

Mr. Bauer will report to bolttech CEO Rob Schimiek, according to an email from a spokesman.

He was most recently managing director and head of the sharing economy and mobility group at Marsh.

Bolttech says it serves customers in 26 markets across North America, Asia and Europe.
