Brace Underwriting appoints Nick Rock as Underwriter

Brace Underwriting Limited, a multi-line and alternative risk specialist underwriter backed by Octave Specialty Group Inc., has announced the appointment of Nick Rock as Underwriter, effective immediately.

In his new position, based in London, Rock will play a key role in strengthening Brace’s underwriting capabilities and expanding its footprint within the London market.

He will focus on nurturing relationships with brokers and coverholders while overseeing underwriting activity across Brace’s diverse portfolio. His efforts will support the company’s continued growth and its commitment to disciplined, strategic risk selection.

With more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rock brings a broad background across underwriting and analytical disciplines.

He joins Brace from Aspen, where he most recently worked as Delegated Authority Underwriter, managing a cross-class binder portfolio covering property, cyber, casualty, and transactional liability.

Prior to Aspen, the executive held roles at Tokio Marine Kiln, Guy Carpenter, and Travelers, gaining extensive insight into both the underwriting and analytical aspects of the market.

Rock will report directly to Mike Davis, Senior Underwriter, who commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome Nick to the team.
