Brit appoints former Hannover Re CEO Jean-Jacques Henchoz as a Non-Exec Director

Brit Group Holdings Limited, the global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has appointed Jean-Jacques Henchoz as a Non-Executive Director to the boards of Brit Group Holdings Limited, and its Lloyd’s managing agent, Brit Syndicates Limited.

The appointment is effective May 1st, 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.

Henchoz has over 27 years of experience within the global reinsurance industry. Most recently, he was the Chairman and CEO of Hannover Re since 2019.

Prior to this, he spent over two decades at Swiss Re in various leadership positions, most recently as the CEO of Reinsurance and the Regional President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In February, Brit Insurance posted an increased year on year profit before tax from continuing operations of $661 million for 2024 as insurance premium written expanded to $3.78 billion.
