Brown & Brown adds former AIG exec

Brown & Brown Inc. announced Wednesday that former American International Group Inc. executive Brian Dermond has been appointed managing director, multinational leader, of the Daytona Beach, Florida-based brokerage.

He replaces Olga Collins, who left to become CEO of Worldwide Broker Network, and reports to Joe Siech, CEO of the broker’s risk solutions team.

Mr. Dermond, who is based in Atlanta, spent 16 years at AIG, most recently as head of field operations with the insurer’s WorldRisk multinational operation.
