Brown & Brown unit makes leadership appointments

Bridge Specialty Group, the wholesale division of Brown & Brown, on Thursday announced a series of key leadership appointments.

It follows Brown & Brown’s recent rebranding of its wholesale and programs business as Arrowhead Intermediaries and its acquisition of One80 Intermediaries.

Joe Failla was named chief operating officer of Bridge Specialty. Mr. Failla will oversee operational initiatives, including the integration of One80. He will also continue to lead Bridge Specialty’s personal lines and product development.

Mr. Failla was previously executive vice president of product and underwriting.

Steve Emmons was appointed chief information officer, succeeding Tony Cacchione, who was recently named chief information officer of Arrowhead Intermediaries, an expanded role.

Mr. Emmons was previously head of IT strategy and architecture.

Ted Stuckey was appointed president of LocalEdge and head of digital strategy for Bridge Specialty. Mr. Stuckey joined the company earlier this year through Bridge’s acquisition of the insurance operations of NBS Insurance Agency, rebranded as LocalEdge.

Martin Burlingame was appointed division president for One80 Binding. He will also focus on product development for Bridge Specialty. Mr. Burlingame previously was managing director at One80.

Kathy Sofarelli was named national personal lines director. Ms. Sofarelli was previously profit center leader of National Risk Solutions, a division of Hull & Co., which Brown & Brown acquired in 2005.

Jon Longsdorf was appointed vice president – digital products. Mr. Longsdorf was previously director of digital product management.
