Brown succeeds Batchelor as CUO for Business Insurance at Travelers Europe

Travelers Europe, a division of The Travelers Companies Inc., has announced the appointment of Andy Brown as its Chief Underwriting Officer for Business Insurance.

Brown is taking over the role from Heather Batchelor, who is retiring following over three decades at Travelers Europe.

In his new role, the executive will be responsible for overseeing and helping drive growth for Travelers Europe’s retail and specialty businesses, which include its syndicate at Lloyd’s.

Brown, who has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, is joining Travellers from Chubb, where he worked for a decade, most recently as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Energy COG & Head of Energy CGM.

He has also held several roles heading up major Energy practices, such as ACE European Group Limited, London, Zweigniederlassung Zürich, and has extensive experience in managing product development and setting company strategy for portfolio and cycle management.
