BRP introduces reinsurance broking platform

BRP Group Inc. has launched reinsurance broking platform Juniper Re LLC, the broker said Tuesday in a statement.

Jeff Irvan will serve as president of Juniper Re, the statement said. He was most recently chief property officer for BMS Group Inc.’s reinsurance business. Prior to that, he served with Willis Re, the former reinsurance unit of Willis Towers Watson PLC.

Trevor Baldwin, CEO of BRP Group, said in the statement that “Juniper Re represents a natural complement to our retail brokerage business,” and will contribute to growth over time.

BRP Group Inc. is the parent company of brokerage Baldwin Risk Partners LLC, ranked 18th on the most recent Business Insurance list of largest brokers of U.S. business.
