Builders Insurance hires executives from rival

Construction industry insurer Builders Insurance Group Inc. has hired two former Accredited Surety & Casualty Company Inc. executives.

Antonio R. Barner will be chief operating officer and senior vice president of Atlanta-based Builders Insurance. Previously, he was chief business development officer and chief strategy officer for Accredited.

C. Brent Johnson was named vice president of Builders Insurance’s newly created reinsurance and specialty business. Previously, he was a senior vice president at Accredited.

Builders Insurance specializes in workers compensation and other liability lines for construction sector companies.
