Burns & Wilcox hires former Hiscox leader

Specialty intermediary Burns & Wilcox Ltd. said Tuesday it has hired Andy Wood as vice president and practice group leader, professional liability.

Chicago-based Mr. Wood was previously a senior vice president at Hiscox Ltd.

He will report to Danny Kaufman, president of Burns & Wilcox.

He succeeds David Derigiotis, who joined Embroker Insurance Services LLC in 2022. In the interim, the group was led by regional professional liability leaders, a Burns & Wilcox spokeswoman said.
