CAC Specialty hires former Marsh SVP

Specialty insurance broker CAC Specialty Tuesday said former Marsh LLC senior vice president Charles Scheerer has been appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president.

Mr. Scheerer will bolster CAC Specialty’s presence in sectors such as private equity, real estate, construction and management liability as well as the broker’s presence in the state, CAC said in a statement.

He is based in Palm Beach, Florida, and reports to Chief Revenue Officer David Payne, according to an email from a spokeswoman.

Mr. Scheerer was most recently a senior vice president with Marsh LLC in New York and Palm Beach and prior to that was assistant vice president with Aon PLC.
