Canopius appoints Laura Burke as US Head of Cyber and Technology

Canopius, a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Laura Burke as US Head of Cyber and Technology.

Burke’s appointment reflects the company’s focus on expanding its presence in the US cyber insurance market and its commitment to offering innovative and reliable solutions that help businesses navigate evolving cyber threats.

Lisa Davis, CEO of Canopius US & Bermuda, said, “Canopius is at the forefront of the constantly evolving cyber risk management landscape globally and in the US as a major focus of our strategic growth plans.”

Burke joined Canopius in 2020 as Senior Vice President and most recently served as Executive Vice President, Cyber and Technology.

Before that, she was Senior Vice President in CAC Specialty’s E&O and Cyber Practice. She has also held key positions at McGriff, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), Lockton, and Aon.
