Canopius hires former Zurich exec for strategy, transformation role

Canopius Group announced Monday it appointed former Zurich North America executive Lisa Leftwich as U.S. regional head of strategy and transformation.

Ms. Leftwich, who was a 2023 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree, will lead strategic initiatives across the specialty insurer’s U.S. operations.

She most recently was head of sustainability services at Zurich Resilience Solutions and before that held various roles, including chief of staff for North America Commercial Insurance.

Before joining Zurich North America in 2015, Ms. Leftwich held senior communication roles at Navistar and Verety LLC.
