Canopius names US head of cyber and technology

Canopius Group Ltd. Wednesday named Laura Burke as U.S. head of cyber and technology.

The promotion is part of U.K.-based Canopius’ expansion in the U.S. cyber insurance market after redesigning its primary cyber coverage offering in 2023, the specialty insurer and reinsurer said in a statement.

Ms. Burke, who joined Canopius in 2020 and is based in Chicago, was most recently the company’s executive vice president, cyber and technology.

Prior to joining Canopius, she served as senior vice president within CAC Specialty’s E&O and cyber practice, the statement said.
