Carnevale joins Munich Re Specialty NA as Head of US Programs

Munich Re Specialty – North America, part of the Munich Re Group, has hired industry veteran Claudia Carnevale as Head of US Programs.

Based in New York, Carnevale brings over 25 years of industry expertise towards her new role.

She joins the organisation from Homesite Underwriting Managers, where she previously held the role of Chief Risk Officer, where she was responsible for underwriting, product/compliance and operational related services.

Before she joined Homesite, Carnevale was at Allied World, where she served as Head of Programs. During her seven year tenure at the firm, she held a number of different roles, including: Vice President – Programs, SVP Property Practice Leader, and SVP Program UW Manager & Property Leader.

Prior to Allied World, Carnevale worked at Starr Insurance Companies, where she was a member of a new management team that was recruited to build a Program Division.

Furthermore, Carnevale began her career in the industry by working as a reinsurance underwriter and assistant secretary at Generali’s U.S. branch, where she gained valuable experience in treaty reinsurance portfolio management and pricing.
