Carola Moore joins Hannover Re as Head of Claims Australia

Large European reinsurer Hannover Re has appointed Carola Moore as the Head of Claims for Australia.

Moore has over two decades of industry experience, having most recently served at life insurer AIA Australia for over six years.

Her roles at the company included serving as the Head of Group Claims, Head of Industry Fund Claims, and Head of Rest Claims.

Prior to this, she was at AMP, a retail wealth management and banking business, for over three years.

Here, she held the roles of Claims Learning and Development Manager, People and Change Lead-Claims Transformation.

Earlier in her career, she served as the Vice President of Strategic Projects at Banyan Work Health Solutions for over five years in Toronto and as a General Manager of the Vertex-Kapele Division at ADvTECH Group for over eight years.

Moore commented on the appointment, “I’ve been so generously welcomed by everyone and can’t wait to do great things together!”

Recently, Hannover Re reported a net income increase of 28% in 2024 to €2.3 billion, reaching the revised higher guidance, with a substantial improvement in property and casualty (P&C) operating profit and a solid life and health (L&H) performance.
